Grammy Award winning choir, Jubilation is a culturally mixed group of voices committed to singing African American sacred music with an emphasis on Gospel music. This internationally acclaimed choir has recorded with great artists such as Ray Charles and Queen Latifah. A deluxe edition of the CD/DVD project Ray Charles Celebrates a Gospel Christmas with the Voices of Jubilation released in winter 2004, climbed to # 2 on the BILLBOARD Gospel Charts. And in 2010 Jubilation participated on the EMI compilation CD, “Oh Happy Day”, singing the title track with Queen Latifah which won a Grammy Award in the category of Best Traditional Gospel Album.

Members of Jubilation participated in Super Bowl XLIV, held in Miami Florida, providing background vocals for Queen Latifah, and appeared on American Idol with Jeff Beck and Joss Stone. Jubilation has appeared at the 2011 US Open Tennis tournament and the 2012 New York Giants NFL season opener. The choir has been featured on major news and entertainment television shows such as CBS 60 Minutes, NBC The Today Show, Entertainment Tonight and ABC Good Morning America.

Under the artistic direction of Rev. Dr. Stefanie R. Minatee, this very accomplished choir has two successful recordings under its belt – “The Launch Out Project” (2008) and “Just Like Sunday Mornin’” (2011).

Children 12 or under admitted free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Limit two children per paying adult. Five dollar admission at the door for Saint Peter’s University students with valid ID.

One of America’s most prolific comedians of all time, Bill Cosby has dazzled generations of fans with his comedy routines, also captured on his iconic albums and best-selling books such as Fatherhood and the groundbreaking The Cosby Show. His comedy transcends age, gender, and cultural barriers.

Jay Black “The Voice”

As a lead singer, Jay Black had a string of hits including “Only In America,” “Come A Little Bit Closer,” “Cara Mia,” “This Magic Moment,” and “Walkin’ In The Rain. During his group’s heyday, they made countless television appearances, on shows such as Shindig, Hullabaloo, Where The Action Is, Johnny Carson, Mike Douglas, Merv Griffin, Red Skelton, and Sammy Davis, Jr., and in 1966 were featured in the movie “Wild, Wild Winter” singing “Two of a Kind.” Jay and the group were the opening act for The Beatles’ first appearance in the United States, and they went on to open for The Rolling Stones and other top British acts. In spite of the British invasion, Jay and his boys carried the American flag almost single-handedly through the 1960′s with 21 chart singles

Darlene Love

From her first number one recording, “He’s A Rebel,” through her string of label hits with legendary producer Phil Spector, including “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “He’s Sure The Boy I’m Gonna Marry,” and “Christmas Baby Please Come Home” to the countless songs she sang backup on for artists like Sam Cooke, Elvis Presley, Dionne Warwick, Cher, Luther Vandross and Aretha Franklin, Darlene Love is still blazing a trail of success in the music industry and has been nominated to the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame. Her albums include Age of Miracles, recorded live in New York City and her first gospel album, Unconditional Love released by Harmony records.

Over the course of her career Darlene has been hailed as the greatest singer in pop music. She has proven herself a talented actress as well, on stage and screen, starring as Danny Glover’s wife in all of the Lethal Weapon films and lighting-up Broadway in such musicals as GREASE and the Tony-award nominated Leader of the Pack. Darlene also starred for three years on Broadway as ‘Motormouth Maybelle’ in the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray.
